Midwest Skidmark is about a midwestern Bi racial college graduate and his soon-to-be medical student Guatemalan best friend, as they try to recapture their partying college days for one final weekend. So many films with people of color as leads, take place in either the East Coast or the West Coast. These films always depict people in extreme financial situations as well. Midwest Skidmark is a film that showcases a different perspective of people of color in America (Midwest/middle class) that’s not showcased often enough. The Midwest has something to say.
